About St Paul, MN
St Paul is one of the largest cities in Minnesota. Fort Snelling was built in 1819 upon successful negotiations with the Dakota tribe after the Louisiana Purchase. The fort turned out to be an ideal place for protection for settlers, explorers, and missionaries. As people traveled west, St Paul had become the gateway to unexplored lands.
